Because people are hitting me up about this left and right. Here is how it works:

1. Technicians buy three of the item, one gets taken all the way down, one stays in the box, the third one they fuck with.

2. On the device taken all the way down, the techs look at the parts. 3. Identify a part that can be slightly enlarged without anyone noticing.

4. 3D print that exact part of the device but just slightly larger to create a gap in the fuel cell, etc.

5. That gap is the room you get the play in. Insert listening devices, trackers, or demo.

So I have in my possession a rather humorous email from the Delta Force chain of command which is trying to fight the tide of culture and technology to put the kibosh on VUMs (Veteran Unit Members, in their words) from going on podcasts or talking about historical missions. The email claims that VUMs have appeared in digital and traditional media to share vignettes of their military service, which puts Delta at risk, although the email fails to provide any examples, evidence, or proof of this. The email harps on unenforceable NDAs of course.

The Havana Syndrome story continues to fascinate me and I've come to 1 of 2 conclusions

1. The CIA is absolutely terrifying their employees into silence about what is happening
or
2. There are groups of former CIA personnel making up stories and selectively leaking to the press I do think that on some level there is a real phenomena taking place, and the tech is nothing exotic. It's just a microwave weapon, which is mainstream science and openly in use by LE agencies. But the closer you get to Havana, the farther away from it you are,

I thrive on the positive feedback we receive from the podcast. Check out the latest:

USG Propagandists,
More war crime story hour and whitewashing of the Ukrainian Nazi army of late I see! Again, why not have on someone who isn’t going to pal around and laugh about all the US war crimes you two find so funny and/or excusable because USA does it? Or is each and everyone who calls you out a Putin propagandist and Kremlin agent? Fact is, you don’t even work for the American people and never did. You murdered people across the other side of the planet in

I feel like there is a collective amnesia about Ukraine, a glossing over how poorly they performed in '14, how wrecked their military was, and how hesitant America was to support them. For instance, there was a huge food fight behind the scenes before we provided Javelins. Fast forward to today, and we're told that Ukraine is fielding UDT teams in the Baltic Sea blowing pipelines, they're running sabotage ops behind enemy lines, drone swarm attacks in Moscow, sweeping disinformation ops, precision targeting, running networks of agents, etc

Over the years I've worked a lot of military sexual assault and domestic violence stories, most of them involving Army SOF/Infantry officers. The commonalities between these cases, and specifically the traits of the abusers is pretty stunning in my opinion. My rant 🧵 below: 1. Abused spouses write their husband's grad papers, war college papers, etc. Their husband is as intellectually stunted as he is emotionally undeveloped and has no interest in developing these skills. These officers are dumber than a box of rocks & need to cheat on their papers.

Struggling to finish writing this article about a SOF operator who took his own life. It isn't that the story isn't compelling or important, it is. It's that my subconscious mind is literally freezing my body and preventing me from writing. For a decade now I written stories about soldiers murdering other soldiers, soldier suicides, overdoses, domestic abuse, sexual assault, missing persons and all kinds of horrible shit that service men and women endure. It's finally caught up with me as well.

I've covered and known many foreign volunteers in the YPG/Pesh/Azov over the years. Most of these people are lost souls, some of them are going to war zones to die, others are frauds and crooks. Give me five minutes and I'll dispel any Bambi eyed romanticism you may have. I have to say I also find it quite humorous to see the way the press is basically encouraging U.S. veterans and volunteers to do this, when just a week or so ago all the press on these people was that they were neo-Nazis and a right wing extremist threat when they return.

I'm fairly skeptical about the stay-behind/sleeper cell/dead man fuzing stories. There is this Bulgarian dude who has been trying to sell this line of BS to the FBI for decades and no one believes him.

spytalk.co/p/going-hot-ru… When I spoke with an expert about the 2013 electrical sub-station attack he told me the people who did it clearly had no real knowledge of the infrastructure they were attacking, because there are better and easier ways to do that. I mean 100 shots, really?

I'm going to try to compose some cogent thoughts here on how the Army is screwing up in how it manages and administrates soldiers who serve in clandestine units. Much of this is based on an interview with an anonymous source who served in a classified compartmentalized intel unit First a disclaimer, I am not qualified to tell anyone how to run covert and clandestine ops, I'm more of the messenger. I do hope I can start a conversation about how to better serve the soldiers who serve America. I have a deep admiration for the soldiers referenced here.

I hope this article starts some conversations in the military, particularly in INSCOM and JSOC about how to get help for personnel who serve in a clandestine manner. Going to talk a bit about how and why I wrote this story below.

news.yahoo.com/an-army-clande… I came to this story through @katekemplin who I interviewed and worked with on past stories I've done about TBI, and SOF suicides. She's one of the best experts on this subject there is, which is why it is so horrifying that despite her best efforts it happened to her ex-husband.

Michael Froede served in a clandestine Army unit and took his own life after having paranoid delusions that the military should have seen coming.

Just pre-ordered the book, being the fan of mercenary memoirs that I am. A bit much to hear the publisher say the press coverage of Asov carried a negative political agenda...as footage rolls of their front gate showing off the SS looking unit insignia.

I know a handful of guys who served with Asov, some of them I was Skyping with at the time who served in the Recon/Engineer platoon of foreigners within the battalion. The Neo-Nazi allegations are certainly true, and some may not want to hear it, but it was actually NATO getting

With the revelation that the CIA is training "stay behind" cells and sending them to Ukraine, it is worth taking a look at their historical use in Europe, and their relevancy to today's conflicts.

Not only were Afghans targeted with lethal strikes for using or touching a radio, but DOD would kill people if a Scan Eagle pilot thought maybe he saw an antenna sticking out from under his clothes for a moment, or caught (maybe) a glimpse of a tac vest.

audacy.com/connectingvets… Image It is not like they had developed targeting packets based on intelligence, they never even knew the names of the people they were killing. Rather, these Afghans met a "target engagement criteria" in Helmand during 2019 that marked them for death.

As I was working this story about drone strikes targeting unarmed men in Afghanistan, it really struck me how complex these operations are from a technical and legal standpoint. No wonder the U.S. public is largely unconcerned. More below:

audacy.com/connectingvets… Image I had a drone pilot leak footage of strikes in Helmand Province in 2019 to me, along with his personal journal. The entry below describes an instance of collateral damage, but the DOD report lists only one CIVCAS for this strike, not three. The official numbers are inaccurate. Image

This is a complex story about lethal strike operations used against ISIS in Iraq and then the Taliban in Helmand province which resulted in Task Force South West targeting adult males who used or simply touched a radio.

audacy.com/connectingvets… I started researching this topic when drone footage of many such strikes was leaked to me but that footage says little without understanding the context. I interviewed over two dozen sources. Military lawyers, JTACs, drone pilots, and other subject matter experts in order to

Fellas. I mean, really now. How can you have the confidence of a Special Forces Colonel who has a two hour barricaded stand off with the cops after allegedly beating his wife, knowing that the Army officer good old boy network won't do a thing to you?

audacy.com/connectingvets… Col. Ray had team mates turn him in to the IG (which is a joke btw) who blew them off. His took his kid hostage during a drunken rage while holding a gun to his head and threatening to kill himself, according to an Army report.

The pearl clutching over Operation Paperclip. Wait until you hear about the Lodge Act... More former Nazis in Det A in Berlin than Americans when it first started. Herman Adler was fmr SS, fought on the Eastern Front. Went on to help w/ a Army SMU selection program for many years One American Det A member told me about their morning formation (done in a hallway b/c it was a clandestine unit) in which the Sergeant Major asked who wanted to go to the D-Day reunion coming up. Det A member Gerhard Kunert raised his hand.

My latest with @zachsdorfman reveals the operational details of Soleimani's killing, including the presence of Delta Force and Task Force Orange and the crucial role of Kurdish counterterrorism operators at the airport. More below.

news.yahoo.com/conspiracy-is-… One of the main aspects of this story revealed for the first time is that the Kurdish Counter Terrorism Group (CTG) was intimately involved with this op on the ground, and it likely could not have succeeded without them. Here are some details about them not in the article: Image

My two cents on this important article from @David_Philipps. I've been trying to tell people for years now that SOF has absolutely no special ability to resist attacks on their cognitive spaces. We have no special training to deal with this.

nytimes.com/2021/01/26/us/… I first started noticing this during the Obama admin as I was watching Special Forces veterans (mostly on Facebook) jump onboard with clear Russian propaganda, the source was not even concealed. These were Cold Warriors, now worshipping Putin as a defender of Christianity.
