1. I'm Jewish and went to a Zionist school for the first 14 years of my life. What's happening in Israel and Palestine has been really difficult for me to comprehend.
I grew up indoctrinated by teachers who taught me Israel could do no wrong.
2. I strongly condemn Israel's war crimes — and to say that is not antisemitic. By this logic, Israelis who don't support these atrocities would be considered antisemitic...which is ridiculous. Many Israelis DON'T support what's happening.
And trust me, they're not antisemitic

1/ Throughout this very taxing and very bullshit year, I found solace in some incredible music.
I listened to 130 albums in 2020. Here are a few that’ll forever be burned into my memory + some cute animations. In a v bitter year, these albums made life a whole lot sweeter:
2/ I’ve been a @MosesSumney fan since 2015 when I first heard “Seeds.” He’s able to transfigure just about anything into something transcendent/otherworldly. græ is genreless + consistently mind-blowing. IMO, he’s music's best current vocalist, too.

I have depression. I rarely talk openly about. During the pandemic, something shifted. I wrote some words for @BuzzFeed about my journey, and I hope it can help others feel comfortable doing the same.

During the pandemic, more people have been struggling with their mental health. How did I react at first? Defensively. COVID-19 made me bitter, and I found myself unable to sympathize with the people around me.
