🧵 A comical encounter with Zionist soldiers at one of the many IOF roadblocks in the occupied West Bank (their purpose is maintain Jewish-only traffic on West Bank main roads).
Read if you want to see what 10 minutes with illiterate genocidal killers feels like. Only 10 minutes. Image This roadblock's purpose is humiliation, not "security". Its to purify all West Bank main roads (Area C) from Palestinian presence, keeping it for Jewish Settler traffic (background, uniterrupted).

Alternative roads are 10x longer at minimum.

Israeli occupation is the ugliest. Image

⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️🧵
Not many are talking about this, but it is heavily reported.

In recent days, Israeli forces intensified wholesale destruction / controlled detonations of entire residential blocks in Gaza.

Jabalia, Beit Hanoun, & Beit Lahia have been declared Disaster Zones. 🧵 Remember the videos Israeli soldiers used to publish, full of glee, as they count down to detonate entire residential blocks /universities in Gaza?

The soldiers don't post as many videos now (i guess someone told them it looks bad?) but the demolitions have actually intensified.

I am a 29 year old Palestinian male.

Those in my age group are target for summary execution by Israel's genocidal forces in Gaza. Young males are being executed, often infront of family and loved ones, in a savage manner, by soldiers who are proud.

All Gaza, especially North. They also get hit by targeted strikes, whether they're carrying their bicycles, flying drones to film a massacre site, or seeking to collect grass/flour to bring home to your starving children...

Palestinian men are being subject to a systematic mass slaughter.

You all saw footage of Israeli soldiers desecrating a mosque in Jenin. Right?

Important to place it in context it occured within 🧵

1/ Israeli armed drones killed several young Palestinians in the camp.

Some of you never heard of #NeveYaakov settlement before last night's fatal attack. Having grown up just across from it, I thought to provide a couple bits of info.
I think its important considering this settlement's location & the fact its home to the "IDF" Central Command HQ. In 1924, an American Zionist group purchased 62 dunams of land from Beit Hanina landowners. They settled it 1925-48. The population did not exceed a few hundred who lived peacefully before abandoning it as the eve of Al-Nakba when news came that Jordanian army mobilized to enter.

🧵Thread on two incidents of Israeli State-Sanctioned mob violence that took place over the past weekend, in Sheikh Jarrah (Jerusalem) & Huwara (Nablus).
Evidence of collusion by Israeli authorities (Military & Police) in enabling & facilitating the anti-Palestinian mob violence. The organized mob violence this weekend happened following incessant incitement by Israeli politicians who are in the middle of vicious electioneering before the #Israelex22.
Evidence from Israel's Interior Minister Shaked, MK Ben Gvir, & Jerusalem's Deputy Mayor King.

This morning, we went down to harvest the olives in our land in Wadi Al-Rababa. It was a wonderful morning, solidarity from our neighbors in Silwan and other friends in the city was apparent, we weren't alone.

However, the settlers nearby had their eyes fixed on us all morning. ImageImageImageImage The settlers, also known as "Nature Authority" called the police, of course... they claimed we were in a "closed zone", and that we shouldn't pick the trees in our own land lol.

Incase you thought Sunday's pogroms were an isolated event 🧵👇

Today, Silwan:

2 members of Sumrein family walking to their home in Wadi Al-Rababa, edge of Silwan, were intercepted by 2 workers from 🇮🇱Environment Authority (a front for the settler movement in E. Jerusalem). The workers, armed, refused to let the 2 Sumrein boys access the path to their own home. Within minutes, twenty of those settlers, armed with guns & pepper, attacked the boys, smashed their car, and stoned their home. One from Sumrein fam is hospitalized with serious eye injury.

A pogrom took place in Sheikh Jarrah this evening, it lasted for hours. When Israeli forces intervened, they secured the perimeter to the aid of raiding settlers.
they used bullets, gas & water cannon against🇵🇸, while a State-Sponsored Pogrom took place uninterrupted inside SJ. Same in the Old City of Jerusalem, where another pogrom took place, conducted in coordination between 🇮🇱 police & flag-waving 🇮🇱marchers.

All the videos I see from the Old City are settlers insulting & assaulting Palestinians INSIDE THEIR HOMES.

Police was aiding & abetting.

Haya Yasmeen is an @mbc1 producer & presenter on Sabah El-Kheir ya Arab. She was in Hebron to film the glass workshops.
After the segment, she got assaulted and detained while on a walk with her mother.

Israel's Apartheid Enforcers never miss a chance to assault a journalist 🤡 video from Haya's perspective. They took her to a room and strip searched her at gun point. I can hardly think of a Palestinian living under occupation who hasn't been strip-searched at gun point. definitely more than once in their lives.

Short thread from events which unfolded in Huwwara, near Nablus, yesterday, and are still ongoing.

Even in the heart of the occupied West Bank, the sight of the Palestinian 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸 Flag is banned. Yesterday, May 17.
A Jewish settler drives into the village of Huwwara near Nablus, and films himself climbing a street pole, taking down a Palestinian flag.

So, Israeli gov't got itself a brand new "special envoy for combating antisemitism"...

Unsurprising that her FIRST TASK has nothing to do with "combating antisemitism", but rather: demonize an innocent 14 year old Palestinian child, and LIE about the facts of the case. 🤮 On Friday 15th April, 14 year old Athal Al-Azza was kidnapped by an Israeli jeep from near his grandmother's home in Al-Azzeh/Aida refugee camp, Bethlehem, located right by the Israeli apartheid wall, and a site of constant confrontation between Pal youth and IOF.

re-sharing video from morning of 15 April, showing Israeli forces smashing the upper windows of Al-Aqsa, using their batons, in order to shoot rounds of rubber bullets at youth barricaded inside the prayer hall.

video in Quote Tweet below shows the damaged windows, filmed today. I share this, as I notice a lot of disinformation, including by the Israeli Prime Minister's spokesperson, accusing Palestinian youth of smashing those windows, while it was clearly the other way around.

Planning a Christmas Day roadtrip in the Galilee🇵🇸 with a friend who chose to skip xmas lunch with fam to join me on this.
Im adding stops in Palestinian towns & villages, as well as sites of ethnic cleansing & destroyed villages.
Will post pictures. Wish us luck! Image A good rule of thumb for when it comes to Israel🇮🇱:
Whenever you read " ______ National Park" written on a road sign or map label, its most likely a site where major ethnic cleansing of Palestinian existence happened.

Just recieved news that Israeli forces have raided Palestinian-owned (& very successful) restaurant The Old Man & the Sea on Jaffa (Yaffa) harbour. They ordered it shut for 30 days.
Israeli authorities don't want employees coming from West Bank.

Ethnic Cleansing knows no limits. Another video from the raid by Israeli forces on the Palestinian restaurant in Jaffa. Customers and employees got attacked and pepper sprayed.
أمر بإغلاق مطعم العجوز والبحر في يافا لمدة ٣٠ يوم.

At "A People by the Sea - Narratives of the Palestinian Coast 1748 - 1948" exhibition at @palmuseum, this piece is particularly interesting.
Artist Amir Zuabi redrew map of Jaffa using tiles of homes which were ethnically cleansed & destroyed by the Zionists during Nakba of 1948. The tiles in this piece were collected by Zuabi as they washed off the shores of Jaffa over years.
Today, the city's destroyed neighbourhoods such as Al-Manshiyah (map👇) are almost unrecognisable due to the colonial expansion of Tel Aviv over the ruins of Palestinian existence.

I am a runner.
I run marathons around whole world. Never have I been attacked violently by police forces as I was today, during the Jerusalem run from #SaveSheikhJarrah to #SaveSilwan.
I was beaten six times, attacked by Israeli forces, for running in my ancestral town & city. We ran 3.5 kilometres from Sheikh Jarrah to Silwan. I arrived at the finish line Batn Al-Hawa, Silwan neighbourhood under threat of ethnic cleansing by Israel.
All runners wore t-shirts that had # 7850 printed on back, the number of Palestinian Jerusalemites under threat.
