As someone who used to represent a large, rural constituency, married into a farming family, with - shock - farming friends, a few thoughts on these shenanigans today.
The farming community isn’t a bloc. It isn’t homogenous. So when celebrity cosplay grifters turn up at a protest, it’s not wholly representative.

It’s the strangest feeling this evening. I’m about to watch the Party I’ve given so much to, collapse. Worse, the country I am a part of, die. Both of their own volition, both at the same time.
And if anyone has anything to add: is this the first time in the history of western civilisation that a mainstream, mass membership left-wing political party has *knowingly* enabled a right wing counter revolution?
