I don't know who is giving comm's advice to @UKLabour and @mcashmanCBE but the past 24 hours suggest they desperately need someone who knows what they're doing, a 🧵:
1/ When making an apology, be clear about who you are apologising to, what you said, and why it was wrong.
This transparent, and spectacularly unsuccessful, attempt at damage limitation from @mcashmanCBE is an #EpicFail.
He doesn't name @RosieDuffield1 and by referencing complaints, he shows his motivation is self preservation, not regret.
