COMICS FANS, you've been pronouncing creators' names wrong for far too long. I can't take it anymore. Here's a thread to put you right. I will retweet this thread any time I hear another podcaster/youtuber say one wrong: David Mazzuchelli
GOOD: Mat-Soo-Kell-ee
BAD: Mat-soo-chell-ee, Maz-oo-kell-ee, mazz-oo-chell-ee
It's just Italian, not rocket science.

Need a colorist? Well, you're in luck! I'm currently looking for work. Here's some of my coloring work, both pinups and sequentials. I'm fast and thorough, and I tailor my coloring to fit the needs & preferences of the creative team. How am I doing, mentally? Well, Dollar General has their own flavor of Mountain Dew and I've now visited ~6 different stores in search of it. 🙃 The search started in LA where I have my car and know where things are, but it's now continued to NY where I have no car and no idea where anything is. The search is feeling more futile by the day.

Anybody know where I can get my hands on Moebius' storyboards for Jodorowsky's Dune? Nvm found some. It's criminal that @TASCHEN or somebody hasn't gotten their hands on one of the famed storyboard books and reproduced it. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. ImageImageImageImage

I'm guessing when #TheSnyderCut is released, it'll involve Darskeid in a slightly more significant way than Avengers did with Thanos, which will then lead to an even more aggressive/annoying campaign by Snyder fans to #MakeJusticeLeague2 or something. Like, dude probably pops up for like 5-10 minutes being like "I'm pulling all the strings, look at me all sinister and powerful!" which would've been the setup for the originally planned JL2. If this really is his cut, then it's going to be a setup for a sequel.

Okay so I just finally read DUEL OF THE FATES (the early Trevorrow draft of Star Wars IX) and I'm really impressed. There are definite flaws and things that would've needed to be improved, excised, or re-tooled, but as someone who hasn't liked a single thing that guy has done, I was really impressed at how well this script tied up the sequel trilogy, and brought many things from the original and prequel trilogies full circle. The characterizations were very strong, I felt Finn in particular had a great and logical conclusion to his journey, and loved

The thing I hope to see change with the end of the DiDio Era at DC is the amount of titles which should be top-sellers, but are held back by old white male writers and artists whose heyday was in the mid-90s. Not saying there's no place for those creators, but if you've got a book like Teen Titans about a group of diverse young heroes, maybe the book shouldn't be made by two white guys who worked on the X-Men 25 years ago.

Young Animal is the coolest thing either of the Big Two has done in decades. I'm glad it exists and hope it continues. With Doom Patrol ending this week, it's had me going back through the rest of the Young Animal catalog, and this is truly an imprint unlike anything Marvel or DC have done before. A haven for interesting creative voices to unleash on characters both big and small.

Nobody has called out Adam Levine on the lyric "even the sun sets in paradise" from the song "Payphone (ft. Wiz Khalifa)" and it's honestly pissing me off. I SEE YOU, ADAM. (1/5) To elaborate, the full lyric is "still stuck in that time when we called it love, but even the sun sets in paradise."
What he's trying to express is that things end, even if you have everything you've ever wanted, and are in the happiest place imaginable. (2/5)

Disney-era Star Wars projects that didn't replace their director or showrunner:
The Last Jedi
The Mandalorian Every other project they've developed has either been canceled, or had its lead creator replaced.
