This is very correct. I lived in Russia for years and loved it but the image many trads in the West have- that Russia is some traditional paradise where you know what gender you are- is just not reality.
In the major cities you'll see gay pride flags. Trans students in universities can change their gender and go by new names. And the government does not take care of the people (which was the old social contract- Putin stays in power and the people get basic care). 2/

Wow this is hilariously shitty of @JaneMayerNYer. She embraces so many tropes throughout this piece that she used to try to destroy Kavanaugh. Let's dig into just a few:
Building sympathy for the affected man. "He had thought they were on friendly terms." That's pretty damn generous of her. Did she ever consider writing that about Kavanaugh? Don't think so.
