There is so much on my mind as we begin the post-mortem takes.

I will not lie, Im sad and disappointed. Not really by the new government of the day, but by what the people clearly endorsed with their votes... and rejected with their silence.

I'll explain. Young people, more than perhaps other blocks, were disenfranchised. But, if we're going to keep it 100, way too many didn't even show up to the polls.

While I expected it, McAlpine lost. We have not elected an independent candidate in 19 years. If he couldn't do it.. who can?
