Starting with the oldest ones, the Aksumite coins
First produced during the reign of Endubis, 270-310, ending in the 7th century
Even after Aksum ceased to exist coinage continued to be used in the southern regions of Ethiopia
The Swahili city-states started making their own coins as early as the 9th century and ending in the 15th century
Fun Fact: Their coins have been found as far as Australia
