Had never worked for or with Blake. I'm not a journalist.

Different perspective.

But, I think I can safely say that I've worked with a lot of them in ~20yrs of my career. Over those years, I've seen all kinds.

Blake was what I still think of as a reporters-reporter.

(1/x) (2/x) He knew what people would care to read (hard to do) and WHY they should care to read about it (even harder to do).

He'd write/edit/tweet shit that drove me nuts (and wanted hidden from view) and shit that I wish the world could see.

A rare talent. And a good human.

Pssst. Democrats passed an economic plan on Friday that reduces costs for prescription drugs, health insurance premiums & utility bills.

- They beat Pharma so Medicare will be able to negotiate lower drug prices

- They beat oil companies so clean energy will ramp up

Just FYI "The Inflation Reduction Act represents the most important effort in decades to reform how drug prices are set in the U.S., experts say."
