When the ceasefire ended Nov 30th after 34 days of ground offensive, appx 70 IDF soldiers had been killed in GAZA fighting. In the 17 days since 56 additional soldiers have been killed. There is a very substantial increase in combat deaths.

The IDF is posting videos and doing a great job explaining this madness but let’s get something clear. The fact this massive tunnel was built a few hundred meters from one of the most defended and surveilled spots on the GAZA border EREZ crossing is a colossal operational failure. This isn’t the GAZA border with Egypt, it’s the GAZA border with Israel crossing. I don’t even understand how this is possible. This is years of construction.
