The more I learn about GoFundMe, the more I don’t like it. At Surfside they had to shutdown fraudulent accounts, which diverted cash from families. Think about it: it doesn’t take a lot of effort to put the word “Surfside” in an account and get cash with little effort.(1/4)

Meanwhile, GoFundMe is defaulting people into fees. They say you don’t have to pay anything, but it’s on you to opt-out. That’s not ethical. They know what they’re doing. Other charities don’t do that. Transparency is always a good policy and GoFundMe doesn’t practice it (2/4)
