So this is Rosenhan’s classic psychology experiment; where his subjects pretended to be mentally ill in secure facilities, and conned psychiatrists into believing that they were either schizophrenic or Bi-Polar. (1)
(2) @ToanTruongGTX has reported the findings accurately. That is, if one is taking Rosenhan’s account as an accurate one. Unfortunately, his study is full of flaws, and is in some cases - fraudulent.

A short thread on conversion therapy: the experience of my Uncle.
Mr Maternal Grandmother was a lost soul. She had 5 children, starting at aged 17 (my mother), with five different men. So, on this side of the family, we are, to quote a phrase, a 'blended family'.
My 'uncle', was born a year after I was. He grew up with his father and I only really saw him at family occasions and we sometimes went on holiday together. He was very theatrical, extremely gregarious and had the nickname 'fruity'.

So my father had a look at my 'giant text machine' last night and utterly flipped his lid over the weightlifter formerly known as, wait for it.........Gavin. He then exploded when I played him @JessDeWahls on Radio 4
This morning, I came back to find him with my daughters (34 and 10) and my son (8). They were on a Zoom call with my wife and two other daughters (13 and 2, staying at home due to the elder's exams). My 2 year old saw me and said: 'Daddo, are you a lady?'
