Security plans are currently excluded from FOIA so why make the bill retroactive?

@Anointed08 asked an important question in committee and my name was again mentioned. I want to clarify some things since me + my family are part of the justification for this FOIA change.

🧵 1/8 Rep. Scott asked if ASP provided security coverage to Sarah Huckabee Sanders or me from June 2022 through Nov. 2022, when we were nominees.

Reasonable question since the newest bill is now retroactive to June ‘22 and safety of the Gov. is the main argument for FOIA changes. 2/8

Kudos to @WalmartInc — the nation’s largest employer, proudly Arkansas-headquartered — for stepping up to expand abortion coverage for its employees. This will save lives put at risk by intrusive and regressive laws forced by extremists. 2/4
Abortion has long been highly regulated in Arkansas. But Sarah Huckabee Sanders wants choice limited to legislators, not a woman with her doctor, family & faith. So extreme, Sarah won’t permit exceptions for rape, incest or even to save a woman’s life.

Five years ago today, white supremacists descended into Charlottesville in a horrible and fatal display to “Unite the Right.”

President Trump spoke of “very fine people, on both sides.” WH spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders defended him.

The next year, Enrique Tarrio, one of the Charlottesville radicals, became chair of the Proud Boys, a white supremacist domestic terrorist organization.

Soon he was embraced – not scorned – by D.C. political elites like Sanders, smiling here with Tarrio at the Trump Hotel.

Too often, when politicians running for office have no solutions for Arkansans, they misinform, divide and are dishonest. Unfortunately, Sarah is being dishonest. Poll-tested talking points may sound good, but miss what’s really been going on… 1/4 Many teachers were sick, there weren’t enough subs, and schools were beyond strained. Along with parents, local districts made the tough choices to close in order to keep kids safe. They followed the science and made hard decisions. That’s the way it should be. 2/4
