The Chosen: A Warning 🧵 Image Long intro (bear with me)…

Before you make judgments, call me a Pharisee (like actors on the show have) & call this “friendly fire”, I want you to know that I watched The Chosen when it first came out. I was supportive at first and was thankful a Christian show (especially one about the Bible & Jesus Christ) was made, seemingly so, of the highest quality. After years and years of cheesy, low-quality Christian content, I thought this was a net positive even though I had a healthy skepticism from the start.

Now, before I provide a loving, Biblical warning, I want to acknowledge that God can use anything for His good. I acknowledge, like I have before, The Chosen has lit a spark and shined a light in its own way. Through the providential will of God, He has allowed this show to be created, distributed and be viewed in front of millions of people across the world.

It’s definitely inspired viewers to read the Bible, go to church & have more conversations about Christ and The Gospel.

BUT… I believe that to be the work of God not necessarily because the show has been faithful to Jesus Christ & His Word. And just because God uses a show, a preacher, a “revival” event, parachurch ministry or conversation with someone for His good, doesn’t mean that the deliverer of that message is to be followed from that point on…

I know someone who was saved by Christ and the spark that lit their spiritual fire was randomly turning on the tv and Joel Osteen was on. Now that person is in a faithful church and hearing sound doctrine every week. While they would recognize how God used Osteen to perform His saving work, they don’t suggest people financial support or engage with Osteen’s false teachings.

With that said, I hope you use what I provide you in this thread as a helpful tool so you can have solid, Biblical discernment to decide, for yourself, if this show is worth your time and/or money.

Conservatives,

Let’s talk about Taylor Swift & the NFL… First off, (I know these tweets don’t represent ALL conservatives but there’s a substantial amount that agree with) these irrational, clickbait tweets…

This just shows you didn’t watch the games or know football AT ALL…

PS: Everything is not a psyop…

Things we need to know about Damar Hamlin’s collapse & treatment (A THREAD) Why is commotio cordis the most talked about diagnosis ?

It’s extremely rare, 99.9% of the time it involves blunt force with a projectile (baseball, hockey puck, etc). There’s seemingly no evidence that this has happened in football.

ESPN’s Outlines The Lines just had cardiologists on. Their first diagnosis of Damar Hamlin was Commotio Cordis, mentioning even though theres only 15 cases a year & there may by no record of that in football. CC almost always caused by blunt force trauma of projectiles like ⚾️🏒 ImageImage The only other possible reasons they provided for why Damar Hamlin collapsed was Arrhythmogenic Right ventricular dysplasia and… Image
