“Canceled at 17” is a really irresponsible headline for a story about a boy who shared naked pictures of a girl without her consent and experienced consequences for it. Interrogate whether those consequences are just, sure. But stop fucking conflating “cancel” with CONSEQUENCE I got “canceled” for posting a rude and snotty opinion about Mad Men that I still stand by! I got harangued for days here! If you show off private photos of a naked person who is not you without their permission and people come down on you, that’s a CONSEQUENCE for misconduct!

There is ONLY ONE IMAX in Los Angeles and it is CITYWALK IMAX. There are other Very Big Screens. There is A SINGLE IMAX. “But you’d have to go to Citywalk…” Grow up. The most interesting thing to me about the way WONDER WOMAN 84 arrived is how CRUCIAL spectacle is to these event films. My prevailing sentiment is “Sure that was fine!” but had I seen it in a dark room on a HUGE screen I know the awe would pushed me to a bigger reaction There’s the “what is the future of theaters??” question but adjacent to that I’m thinking a lot about how much we need these types of movies to be physically MASSIVE to really grab hold of us.
