A lot of people are floating the idea that Google, FB, Twitter, Amazon, and Apple might be committing antitrust violations by Twitter/FB suspending individual accounts, by Google/Apple suspending Parler from the app stores, and by AWS dropping Parler from hosting services. 1/
I don’t think any of those claims are viable. The general theory is that these companies are working in concert to deplatform conservatives. But that doesn’t actually appear to be happening. The key part is the “in concert” part. 2/

Yesterday, the FTC and most state AGs sued Facebook in two related antitrust cases. I read through both complaints and I have some thoughts. Caveat, these are my own thoughts and not the views of my firm or clients. 1/
I’ll add that most of my antitrust litigation has been on private plaintiff cases, not government divestiture cases. Private cases usually focus on money damages, not divestiture, which is a more drastic remedy. So, grain of salt. 2/

I read through the US v. Google complaint this morning and I have a few thoughts. As I am neither a government attorney nor an attorney representing Google, I don't have any real window into the actual evidence or the outcome, but I have thoughts about what's in the complaint. 1/
