Wherein Sebastian Morello reveals that he sees himself as having "picked up the baton" dropped (supposedly) by Charles Coulombe when the latter was forced to remove his essay "The Hermetic Imagination" from the internet and stop openly promoting the occult after Tarotgate. Mr Coulombe, for his part, has signalled the passing of said baton by providing the foreword to Dr Morello's new book, which opens with a quotation from Russian occultist Valentin Tomberg's own magical treatise, "Meditations on the Tarot: A Journey into Christian Hermeticism". "All the gods of the Gentiles are devils..." (Psalm 95:5)

Of all the world's religions, perhaps none has better PR in the West than that of the Dalai Lama.

This thread of excerpts from "Red Shambhala" (2011) by Andrei Znamenski paints a much darker picture of Tibetan Buddhism. Image Any religious tradition that initiates people by requiring them to "offer their minds, spirits and bodies to the... master performing the initiation," the goal of which is to "turn adepts into empty vessels" possessed by non-human intelligences, ought to set alarm bells ringing. "For the simultaneousness of the assaults in the persecutions which have so suddenly burst upon us in these later times, like a storm from a clear sky, that is to say, without any cause proportionate to the effect; the uniformity of means employed to inaugurate this... 1/ ...persecution, namely, the press, public assemblies, theatrical productions; the employment in every country of the same arms, to wit, calumny and public uprisings, all this betrays clearly THE IDENTITY OF PURPOSE and A PROGRAMME DRAWN UP BY ONE AND THE SAME CENTRAL... 2/

How to be a Catholic theologian:

1. Own many books. It is not necessary to have read them, but they MUST be leather-bound and prominently displayed.

2. Be a Thomist™. A Thomist™ is someone who owns a copy of the Summa Theologica. (Same conditions apply as above.) 3. Earn a BA in theology. Or philosophy. Or religious studies. Or whatever.

4. Learn to write as you think: rarely, and very little. As a theologian, you are too busy to write.

5. Have a podcast. This will ensure that you never have time to write anything.

THREAD: Excerpts from "Secret Societies and Subversive Movements" (1924) by Nesta H. Webster, in which the Kabbalah is shown to be a syncretic perversion of Sacred Tradition, already falsified by the time of Christ: "[A]lready at the time of Jesus Christ, there existed an assemblage of doctrines..., carefully concealed from the multitude..., represent[ing] the spiritual traditions transmitted from the earliest ages, although mingled in the course of time with impure or foreign elements."

I noted before the strange relationship between the Anthroposophy cult of Rudolf Steiner, consort of demons, and luminaries of the Vatican II sect. More needs to be done to throw light on this unholy alliance. @IAltare has made a valuable contribution: introiboadaltaredei2.blogspot.com/2021/09/when-s… I didn't know (though it doesn't surprise me) that Angelo Roncalli (later John XXIII) was censured for "teaching the theories of Rudolf Steiner." Regarding Valentin Tomberg's false conversion, see here:

Why did @AngelicoPress co-founder James Wetmore, editor and publisher of "The Universal Meaning of the Kabbalah," spend A DECADE transcribing, translating and compiling 38 NOTEBOOKS of Anne Catherine Emmerich's visions into 11 VOLUMES -- Angelico's most ambitious project to date? ImageImageImage Robert Powell, author of "Hermetic Astrology" and translator of Valentin Tomberg (whom he believes is "the Bodhisattva who in the fifth millennium AD will become the Maitreya Buddha"), explains IN THE VERY FIRST VOLUME why so much time and resources were invested in this project.
