Friendly reminder that digital assistants (Siri, Alexa, Google Home, Cortana) are just basically text-to-speech/speech-to-text Google* programs. You ask a question, they Google* it, and speak the answer to you.

*Not all assistants use Google specifically Their answers are only as good or bad as the information the search engine they use returns, and the quality of the results can be gamed by anyone who cares to.

With enough know-how and time, bad actors can make search results say whatever they want, at least for a little while.

Senators represent the states, not the people. That's why each state gets two Senators. Because each state is only one state.

Let me know if you need help counting to one. No, the 17th Amendment didn't change this. You can stop embarrassing yourselves with this stupidity.

.@Apple needs to get its shit together. This is beyond stupid.

cnbc.com/amp/2020/09/11… To put this in perspective, @Apple currently offers the Microsoft Remote Desktop app in the iTunes store.

This thread is full of Leftists who think this is some Trump/DeJoy plot. They seem blissfully unaware that this has been happening for *years*.

Conservatives didn't imagine or create these problems. We knew it was happening and it's why we oppose mail-in voting. October 2016

How racist and privileged do you have to be to brag that your area isn't burning, while many minority communities are? Paul Krugman heard that there was a racism he could do and he was all, "Sign me tf up!"

Rand Paul was attacked by an angry mob last night.

America isn't going to care much about that. An angry mob is an angry mob. People are dumb and do dumb things.

What America does care about is how @TheDemocrats and the media excuse, and in some cases encourage, this behavior. It isn't difficult to condemn senseless violence, but @TheDemocrats can't seem to do it. This is not going unnoticed, and I have a strong suspicion that this election is going to reflect that.

There's a lot to unpack here.

First, it's "common sense," not "commonsense." I mean, autocorrect fixes it for you, so why are you intentionally taking extra steps to sound illiterate? Next, to buy a gun from out of state, one must be eligible to buy a gun in your home state. What effectively happens is that you go out of state, "buy" the gun, it gets shipped from that dealer to one in your home state, and your eligibility is checked there.

Colbert, Noah, Silverman, Schumer, Stewart, et al.: HURR DURR CONSERVATIVES SUCK AND WE R S-M-R-T

The Left: OMG! YES! BRAVE HEROES! SLAY!

Chappelle: Y'know, maybe things aren't as simple as you think they are, and here's me saying that in humorous ways.

The Left: Not to overstate what Chappelle did, which was just a comedy show, but he did, to some degree, introduce nuance into the political discussion, and that's why the Left is mad.

They deal in absolutes. Nuance changes things for them in ways they aren't equipped to handle.
