Progressives always trip on evangelical talking points. The questions isn't "When is a pregnancy a person?" It's "When do pregnant people stop being people?" We don't force people to donate kidneys or give blood. No one else is forced to put life and health at risk for a person Roe being overturned isn't about a health procedure. It's about removing the federally protected right to privacy and personal liberty of people who can get pregnant. We are deemed subordinate to a potential person. That life is given more rights than we are. That's the issue.

We're lucky that we have stuff to trim. Less meat, only eating out twice a month, canceling subscriptions, putting off car repairs, upgraded to ac unit that costs less to run. It's energy prices that will really hurt. Those are up 30%.

Can't stop thinking about that last episode of Veep. What a devastating commitment to character. Watching her burn everything down bam, bam, bam, was breathtaking and heartbreaking in equal measure. Veep is a tragedy served up as a comedy and those are some of my favorite tragedies.

Cleaning the bathroom and thinking about the solid story beats of The Mandalorian (as one does). Overarching discussion, no big spoilers. Bounty hunter/mercenary/job of the week stories are perfect for episodic tv. Start with a discrete goal: 1. Find the bounty
2. Reversal. Bounty isn't what you thought
3. Find a safe place for the bounty.
4. Realize there's no safe place for the bounty until you find who's sending the hunters
5. Etc.
