Identity politics thrive in Nigeria. Sadly, it doesn’t look like this will change anytime soon. A lot of calculations are being made for 2019/2023.

It’s almost certain the President in 2019 will come from the north. If someone new (from the north) comes in 2019, he’ll want to do his/her own 2 terms.

People in the south also want one of their own to be president. If Buhari fails in 2019, the south will have to wait 12 years to produce a President.
