Upshot of yesterday’s meeting is UK, EU, and Ukraine agreed to an Armistice ending the war in two weeks with NATO-lite security guarantees from US and Europe.

I think UK, EU agree to end the Ukraine war today, regardless of what Zelenskiy may want.

1. China’s REE export ban has disrupted US weapons production, always inefficient and slow anyway, so every missile and AD (air defence) interceptor used by Israel against Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran is now effectively irreplaceable.

2. Israel AD nearly exhausted its interceptors in just 12 days of war with Iran. Many AD launchers were targeted in missile strikes, some malfunctioned, blew themselves up. Israel needs more AD before war with Iran resumes. Ukraine has already concentrated NATO AD for Israeli appropriation.

3. US and NATO bomb and missile stockpiles are low, depleted by 3.5 years of war in Ukraine and 100,000 tonnes of missiles and bombs dropped on Gaza concentration camp and Israeli attacks on Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Yemen, and Iran. Ukraine munitions are needed for Israel.

4. Netanyahu wants to exterminate, secure Gaza and attack Iran again within weeks. Therefore he needs all AD and munitions stripped from Ukraine ASAP.

5. Netanyahu also intends to take and hold the entirety of the Levantine coast from Turkiye to Egypt for monopoly control of the East Med Pipeline project and shipment of gas to EU.

6. Earlier this month Netanyahu said he needs 250,000 more trained militants, more than Israel can recruit to IDF. Ukraine militias, paid and commanded by Pentagon since 2013 and widely deployed in Syria and Afghanistan until 2021, can fill that requirement. From today militias follow Pentagon orders again, deploying to secure Gaza, Lebanon, Syria coasts from Hamas and Hezbollah, etc.

7. NATO was conceived by the Dulles brothers to centralise European military command and foreign policy under US dominion. Today we will see exactly why and how that works.

8. The urgency is driven by internal Israeli divisions, so Likud coalition control of Knesset is threatened, and Bibi’s corruption trial may resume next month. Also, Netanyahu wants to attack Iran again before full stack Chinese detection, AD, and fighter jets secure Iranian airspace (6 months).

9. Finally, the Ukraine proxy war from 2013 to today was to take control of Crimean Basin gas and oil reserves. EU is deindustrialising and economically unviable without cheap Russian gas, so needs the Levantine gas. Otherwise bond markets could destabilise, bring down globally leveraged house of cards.

10. Russia has won the war on the Ukraine battlefield, advances along line of contact accelerating from January. Trump wants it shut down so he can move on to the next wars for oil and gas. Levantine coast and Iran for sure, probably Venezuela soon. Stripping Ukraine of munitions and AD achieves Russian 24 February 2022 objective of ‘demilitarisation’. Redeploying Nazi militias to Levant achieves objective of ‘denazification’.

The peace agreement is not about Ukraine, a footnote in history, but is about Israel.

As I said earlier this week, what Bibi wants, Bibi gets.

Bibi wants all Ukraine’s weapons and air defences before the next attack on Iran (Putin’s 2024 SMO objective ‘demilitarisation’).

Bibi wants 250,000 Azov-style militants to secure Greater Israel borders in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Saudi, and then Iran (Putin’s 2024 SMO objective ‘denazification’).

Trump just gave Putin the SMO victory bouquet.

China will not relax its rare earths export ban because it is the key to achieving global peace and security for both West and East Asia.

Bretton Woods II ended 9 December 2022 in Riyadh when two pivotal events happened the same day. Chairman Xi made a speech to camera favouring a Palestinian state, 1967 borders, capital at Jerusalem. Later he stood with the heads of state of the Gulf Cooperation Council and invited them to sell oil and gas in Shanghai for CNY. Neither event was reported in any Western media.

Fast forward to April 2025 when China responds to Trump tariffs with a rare earths export ban. The Ukraine war and Gaza genocide have depleted US and Western weapons inventories. The world has a rare chance at peace for an interval of 5-10 years if Western arms makers can’t get rare earths to restock for further wars and wider genocides in occupied Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria.

Add in Pakistan downing 6 Indian fighter jets with Chinese-made J-15E jets and J-10E missiles. Air dominance is no longer made in the West or exclusive to US allies. Egypt has just taken delivery of its own similar jets and missiles.

Now we have ASEAN+China issuing 2 Joint Statements for cooperation in May. The first with Japan and South Korea means there will be no WW3 in Asia. The second with GCC sets Palestinian statehood and security as a joint goal. Neither Joint Statement was covered in any Western media.

We are about to have a peace imposed by denial of the means of war. The rare earths export ban will cause production lines to shut down within months. Sadly, cars and EV production will cease as well as jets, missiles, shells, and high tech war gear.

No Western media covers the story of Japanese, Koreans, and Arabs embracing ASEAN+China because it is unimaginable for them that any US military occupied states can have agency to change or challenge the US imposed order for a better, less murderous future.

Even if the Western media won’t publish it, the world changed already. Japan, South Korea, and GCC chose peace and cooperation with ASEAN+China.

The rare earths export ban will protect them from US vengeance.

Interesting times.

This is a classic judo strategy by China, using USD hegemony to prevent targeted instability and crisis as rates rise, while securing its own long-term CNY commodities and energy supplies.

1. China borrows USD at sovereign rate LOWER than half US Treasury 10 year rate, 19.9X oversubscribed.
2. China uses USD in Global South to support their USD debt service, preventing 1980s-style crisis and defaults.
3. China gains long-term minerals, energy, commodities supplies payable in CNY.
4. China repays bonds with cheaper dollars as commodities reprice higher in tighter supply-constrained markets.

Lame duck Biden will send US mercenaries to Ukraine. Some thoughts.

Putin probably wanted and foresaw this. He wants to kill or disable as many Western mercenaries as possible in Ukraine to prevent their use in Asia, Africa, and Latin America later.

Ukraine was the top provider of foreign mercs used by the Pentagon since 1991. There are pictures of Azov Battalion familiar faces in Hong Kong 2019 and the Capital riot 2021. They were the go-to imperial ‘rent-a-thugs’ for decades. Eliminating US mercs in Ukraine is more efficient than finding and fighting US mercs globally.

The Ukraine war has been slow walked for 2 years to lure Western mercenaries into the fight, with frontlines hardly moving until recently. Kursk cauldrons killed hundreds, perhaps thousands, of foreign mercs (exempt from protections of the Geneva Conventions).

Empires collapse when they rely on mercenaries for power projection. Mercenaries can quit, switch sides, hold alternative motives, or turn on their contractors.

Killing off US mercs in Ukraine will leave US less able to destabilise, coup, terrorise, or war against the emerging Multipolar world. It is a necessary element of a new security order in the Global Majority that seeks to unify, pacify, and grow shared prosperity.

Trump today meets with Hungary’s Orban and Poland’s Duda at Mar-a-Lago to map out (literally) the shape of post-war Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Biden escalates US contractor engagement on the battlefield. Clearly we are in the narrative shaping phase of another attempt at regime change in Iran. Those who follow me know that I reject labels such as 'democracy' and 'autocracy' in favour of data on development and improvement of lives. Still it's kind of funny that US-Israel plan to replace a functional democracy (they just had an election for president) with a sock-puppet monarch.

So how bad is Iran? Let's take a look at some data:
- Life expectancy has improved more than any other peers from 50 years under the Shah to 78 years today;
- Child mortality has reduced from 20% to less than 2%;
- Net migration (proxy for extreme oppression or violence against minorities) is positive mostly, people moving to Iran not from it;
- Extreme poverty has been eradicated.

Those mullahs aren't doing a half bad job running Iran.

Don't make the mistake you made in 2003 of believing Iranians will welcome a military overthrow of their state with 'sweets and flowers', expecially after 20 years of watching Iraq be strangled by a US chokechain.Image

I don’t believe anything Mike Pompeo wants me to believe, and he is very partial with facts here, but I do agree that Hong Kong was his biggest failure.

The ‘students’ he trained to lead the riots failed to avoid being filmed with their NED and Embassy handlers.

The terrorists he trained in Taiwan failed to blow up a prosperous, crowded neighbourhood in Hong Kong, arrested once the police discovered the plot.

The propagandists he planted in media were forced to confess their complicity and jailed.

He failed to provoke a mainland military intervention CIA and media would have decried oppressive.

I knew watching the riots in Hong Kong in 2019 that China would have to de-dollarise to protect itself, so Pompeo failed to defend the one thing securing US hegemony in the world.

Under international customary law central bank reserves have diplomatic immunity from seizure, even in a declared war.

War in Ukraine is beginning to end as US stops funding its failed proxy war at the end of this month.
US accepts it will never have the Crimean oil and gas basin, so now prioritises the Levantine Basin gas reserves off Gaza through proxy Israel and Venezuelan gas and oil through client Guyana.
The referendum to reclaim Esequiba as a further state of Venezuela - with very low population but huge offshore gas reserves - has overwhelmingly passed.
The US intended a military base there to threaten Venezuela and protect US oil and gas exploitation.

Thread 1/6: I am the plumber of global dollar liquidity (invented Triparty Repo (now $10.4 Trillion average interbank secured credit) and got US Treasuries into Clearstream for global collateral). I don't agree a stable transition from unipolar dollar isn't possible. Here's why. 2/6 Dedollarisation targets trade in goods among global East and South states. Yuan is a new energy-equivalent reserve and settlement currency as Russia offers oil for yuan in Asia, Africa & Latin America. Big question is whether GCC states follow suit and also offer oil in yuan for global delivery.
