Am I letting my partisanship colour the way PP sounds? To me, the way that Poilievre says (as though an aside) "for a change," after saying he puts "Canada first," sounds like when I complain to my husband "thanks for listening, for a change." It's passive aggressive. 2/
I mean, I don't quip "for a change" very often (we have a good marriage), but when I do (usually under my breath) it's when I'm feeling frustrated. It's the kind of thing someone says who is trying to pick a fight or keep one going.

Poilievre is spending all his time being extremely negative, saying everything that he thinks is wrong with Mark Carney and Sean Fraser - using hyperbole and twisting the facts to create a (false) narrative. His negativity is so off-putting. #Election2025 2/
I sure hope no-one falls for Poilievre's gross accusations and attempt to redirect the attn on him. Asked about the Globe and Mail's story, his answer is DISGUSTING - PP is trying to connect two DISPARATE things, Beijing murders and PMMC's former LEGIT business in China.

Chyrons on CBCNN: Carney's smaller cabinet will reflect his laser focus on the U.S. tariff threat and economy. Mark Carney will be mostly made up of ministers who have already been ministers in the past. Mark Carney expected to visit London and Paris next week, first trip as PM. 2/
@gmacofglebe "People are worried about economy. When Cdns see that the govt is being run by a cabinet that's smaller and tighter, they going to like that," (paraphrased).

The member for Sarnia-Lambton, ON - Marilyn Gladu, a CPC MP, just admitted to why they're really filibustering parliament - the Cdn federal Conservatives are taking a page out of the US' GOP playbook and obstructing govt legislation. 2/
The claim that docs haven't been provided to the RCMP by the Liberals, is not true. The RCMP have said they already have what they need for their investigation. Not only that, but it would be inappropriate for parliamentarians to direct the work of the independent RCMP.

Canadian voters, please think hard before you support the CPC. Take note that they think using M*usk's Starlink is the way to go. M*sk denied the use of Starlink by Ukraine, to help the Kremlin. Think about what decisions they'd make as cabinet ministers if CPC formed govt. 2/
Regarding what the Canadian govt is planning to use:

"And when you think about drugs, Pierre Poilievre is the only one who understands the problem," Laryssa Waler.

I disagree. Mr Poilievre has revealed a complete lack of understanding the drug crisis in Canada.

It's not normal to accuse govt of starting wildfires; wish to fire BofC's gov; push Bitcoin; be anti-expert; be anti-WEF; let Leslyn Lewis stay in front bench despite assoc w/AfD, etc.; march w/James Topp; back anti-vax mandate bill; call PET & PMJT Marxists; use MGTOW tag, etc. 2/

Kristin, you're being shown a clip out of context. If you'd watched QP today, you'd know that he was responding to CPC member's claims that Cdns would save $500 to $800 if the carbon tax was removed. To save that you'd need to drive 37,000 klms. You'd need to drive non-stop 24-7. 2/

Rage-farming with disinformation and use of hyperbolic rhetoric and tug-at-your-heartstrings anecdotes. I'm waiting for Poilievre to accuse the (fed Liberal) govt of k*lling puppies next (has come close to doing that today in #QP). 2/
This interview with Vancouver Deputy Police Chief Constable Diona Wilson on @PnPCBC, is informative:

"The federal Conservatives say they won't be taking advice from "so-called experts" when it comes to carbon pricing, after more than 200 economists signed an open letter challenging Pierre Poilievre's stance."

thestar.com/politics/feder… 2/
My thoughts, this is like when Harper showed a disdain for experts. Sounds like if CPC formed next govt, data will be destroyed, scientific and economic programs under-funded, decisions made at the top without consultation with experts. Is this what Millennials wish? Really?

Let's face it. There are voters out there who are selfish. They'd rather save a few cents on a litre of gas*, than support the current govt who are implementing the most effective policies for reducing carbon emissions. They don't care about climate crisis. *(8/10 get a rebate) 2/

I agree that politics has changed since time when Brian Mulroney PM, & there's more polarization & probs now - tracing back to Newt Gingrich in 90's, amplified & facilitated more recently by social media. However ... 2/
However, to simply say it's worse now, implies a 'both sides' that I think ignores the difference in how the Liberal and Conservative leaders act and speak. PMJT does NOT push conspiracies to hurt PP, but PP does - to hurt PMJT.

Excellent segment on @RosieBartonLive, @CBCNews, with Aaron Wherry, @karyn_pugliese, and @garymasonglobe. Six clips to follow (& link to Wherry's piece). I'll add a link to full show once it’s uploaded by CBC on their site. Re CPC vote on CUFTA (Cda/Ukr free trade agreement) 2/
Clip 1/6 is the into, including clips of @JustinTrudeau & CPC leader. Also @RosieBarton’s question for @garymasonglobe.

This is from last year but still applies. Poilievre just demanded again that Canada ban the #IRGC.

"Pierre Poilievre is demanding it — but insiders reveal why Canada won’t brand this Iran military group as terrorists" thestar.com/politics/feder… 2/
(Abbrev) "Thomas Juneau, former policy analyst at fed defence dept now w/U of O’s Grad Schl of Public & Intern'l Affairs, said there may be “rhetorical symbolic value” for Cda to take step of putting terrorist label on IRGC, but if can't enforce it, a cost to govt credibility"

That post from Netanyahu earlier, completely overlooks the fact that PM Trudeau actually did call out Hamas at his presser. I think there's more to his post than appears on the surface. He's friends with Harper and part of the IDU. Check out the article I linked above.

@CBCNews begins segment clip of Alta Premier Smith, re UCP reorg healthcare. @HannahThibedeau intrvus Dr Tom Noseworthy (w/@UCalgary), asks him will this improve chances of having a family Dr. He says no more likely than up to now & explains why.

(See thread for five clips) A screeshot from a recording I made of CBCNN's Hannah Thibedeau interviewing Dr. Tom Noseworthy (with U of C). 2/6
(Abbrev) Dr Noseworthy, “It’s a really dark day for Alberta’s healthcare syst. We’ve been treated to a fast-talking, media-savvy, smokescreen really, that shifts the blame. Primary Care has never been part of AHS in 1st place. … That’s govt & it always has been govt.”

Notice how there's no CPC MP who is expressing concern over their leader's behaviour - whether it's his bullying or his dishonesty. So, if they think at some point they need a new leader (they go through them like Kleenex after all), don't forget Poilievre isn't the only problem. 2/#CdnPoli

Just read a derisive comment (by a conservative voter, according to their profile) about Sophie Trudeau authoring a book, and they also mentioned Trudeau’s mom. According to them, it’s not right that they give mental health advice (they're wrong). Here’s my response: 2/
Sophie Gregoire Trudeau has struggled with eating disorders and anxiety. She volunteers with CMHA. Here's a link to her IG post about it instagram.com/reel/CrtSoFWvd…
