I’ve now read this judgment in full, and though I do not have legal expertise, it seems important for anyone who cares about how we provide individuals with access to literacy through public education. THREAD 1/
This is a 6th circuit appeals judgment; plaintiffs are Detroit state school students, arguing that state has deprived them basic minimum education, “meaning one that provides a chance at foundational literacy”. 2/
