A true test of a startup ecosystem's strength? Follow the early stage money. Investors are doubling down in NYC on the city's most promising founders.
Since 2020, over $2 billion has been deployed into NYC companies at the earliest stages. While the Bay Area still leads with nearly $4 billion invested, NYC is beginning to close the gap by providing ample runway for its next wave of startups (source: Carta).
