@ruthbenghiat 1/ It drives me insane that people can’t see this incredibly obvious tactic by Trump (et al). Normally R’s are über gung ho to glorify America and they immediately cast anyone who points out any problem as not being a “patriot.” “America — love it or leave it!”
@ruthbenghiat 2/ Then Trump comes along and completely trashes *everything* about the country, even when nothing has changed or things have gotten better. All lies are unquestioningly believed, regardless of how outrageous and plainly untrue they are. (Otherwise you aren’t a “patriot.”)
Then why does he phrase it way, repeatedly and intentionally? He rants about how "words mean things" and "truth," and he has a staff to carefully create and review his script, so it's not an innocent
@loogikosta@briantylercohen@BNONews 2/ oversight. He's INTENTIONALLY choosing the most alarming framing possible.
I can understand saying that it's hyperbole, but it's the repeated use of extreme framing that gets me (besides the implied racism).
What exactly should we do? Here is a starting list of 10 items:
1. Pass a Constitutional amendment guaranteeing the Right to Privacy. This is the foundation for many other things, including personal decisions and Digital Rights.
@AOC 2. Pass a Constitutional amendment guaranteeing the Right to Choice
3. Pass a Constitutional amendment guaranteeing the Right to Contraception
4. Pass a Constitutional amendment preventing discrimination based upon sex, gender, gender identity, or orientation

Thread:
1/ Did Trump and the GOP cheat by changing vote totals in areas where there are no paper ballots and they figured they could get away with it?
Of the additional votes in 2020 (over 2016), what % do you think Trump won? 50%?
Here's an overview showing his % of the gains
2/ This data is based upon a thread by @DavidManel. It shows that Trump got either all of the increased votes in 2020, or about 83% of the increased votes. That's in counties that do not use paper ballots, so votes CANNOT be recounted.
