Breaking from Egypt: President Sisi signs a decree to construct a synagogue in Egypt's new capital with an estimated cost of EGP 3 billion.
As far as I am aware, this marks the first time the Egyptian government has granted approval for the construction of a new synagogue.
Baruch HaShem and Shabbat Shalom. There is hope!
UPDATE: Someone mentioned that this is "fake news". I had looked into it briefly before posting this. I found contradicting sources, one claiming it is fake news and a couple of other sources reporting on this.
I am hoping the Egyptian government will issue a statement on this to clarify its position. Sorry for the confusion, I should have mentioned the contradicting sources!

THIS IS IT. On Dec 29th, I promised that I was going to reveal something “absolutely, unbelievably, incredibly jaw-dropping”. I am exposing the UN and some of its most senior officials, including the Spokesman for the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, for institutionally covering up on a colleague who is antisemitic and publicly supports Hamas. Claiming that the X/Twitter and LinkedIn accounts of a UN official were hacked, used by a hacker to make antisemitic comments and support Hamas, and subsequently closed by the UN official upon finding that they have been hacked, is without doubt grossly disingenuous. This is the literal definition of adding insult to injury!
In this video, I tell the whole story and show the evidence. You will also find a JC article and related screenshots, including a response from the UN, in the comments.
