The main point I’m focusing on in my book is that we can learn about God through black girls’ realities and lives. This is a notion often rejected. The idea that we can learn about God through a young black girl? One thing I’m noticing is that when it comes to the black experience in general, the idea that one can be “taught” anything from the black experience is rejected by white supremacy.
