Please go through this. Very inspiring

1/ At 107, there’s nothing I can’t do! I wake up at 3 AM, go to my farm before all my workers and after a whole day of ploughing and harvesting, I cycle down to the market to sell my produce! 2/ There were no formal schools when I was growing up; I’m self-taught. I was 14 when I got married and inherited a piece of Appa’s land after.

@RajithRajagopal @mathewi May I add @mathewi you got it all wrong. Let me tell how
1/ GoI has not ordered to take action against all journos only those who distribute fake news. Eg. The farmer for whom u show so much concern was NOT killed by fire shots. It was an accident @RajithRajagopal @mathewi 2/ Your friend @sardesairajdeep tweeted this which is completely farce and he was taken off air and maybe off the channel as well. This is not something new. He has a record for running fake news.

1/ Why do Indian Husbands remain faithful disciples of their wives ?.
Answer By Dr NN Iyer, MD

I will tell you my personal story as to why I remain faithful to my wife. It is just for survival.

Her multitasking always amazed me, especially when it came to chemistry 2/ It was 8 in the morning.
In the kitchen, my wife was checking the viscosity of the sambar, the solubility of chutney and the permeability of coffee, all at the same time.

1. There is a fire of anger in my eyes
Which has turned my eyes into red.
Like a spark of fire explodes and spread every where
My anger spill on the face of those
Who come to my kitchen. 2. Whoever comes in contact with me
They are roasted as like by live wire
Words come out of my mouth
Like arrows to pierce.

NAIVEDYAM: WILL GOD EAT OUR OFFERINGS?

Here is a very good explanation about Neivedyam to God.

Will God come and eat our offerings?

Many of us could not get proper explanation from our elders.

An attempt is made here.

Its a WA forward, thought I would share. 1/n A Guru-Shishya conversation:

The sishya who doesn't believe in God, asked his Guru thus:

"Does God accept our 'neivedhyam' (offerings)?

If God eats away the 'prasadham' then from where can we distribute it to others? 2/n

Recently there is a big uproar on Murugan being Tamil god alone. Its completely nonsensical. The politics of caste has blinded certain factions of Tamils into believing that Murugan is Tamil God. Lord Muruga is worshiped in North as well. This thread will throw some light on it 1/n Skanda is mentioned in many of our Scriptures- Chandayoga upanishad revere him as Skandakumara, a vedic sage and religious teacher. In the Śatpatha Brahmāna he appears as one of the aspects of Agni. Rig Veda describes him with bells and banners, Atharva Veda with Peacock 2/n

In todays India, it has become fashionable to mock SanatanaDharma(SD),its customs&traditions under the garb of liberalism and FoE.Many mediums like books, paintings, stand up comedy&web series are used to shame Hinduism. This thread tries to highlight some of this hinduphobia 1/n Let me illustrate with few examples. I am sure many are already aware.

Eg 1. Sacred Games -directed by Leftist Propagandist Anurag Kashyap portrays the the Guru-shishya system as homosexual and also gives a messed up meaning of Aham Brahmasmi 2/n

Tamil identity is linked to the broader Hindu identity. We witness this in Carnatic music, the Bharatanatyam dance form, temple architecture, sculpture, classical literature, politics and overseas trade. 1/n The Sangam may not be explicitly religious , but whenever the early poems referred to religious practice, one discerns Hindu observance as in the worship of Mayon or Vishnu, Seyon or Murugan, Kotravai or Durga, Venthan or Indra, and Varuna. 2/n

@Itishree001 @punarutthana According to Puranas Ganga falls on earth from heaven through the hair of Shiva. It disappears from heaven and re appears here in Gomukha @Itishree001 @punarutthana To my knowledge Gomukhs refer to a place where holy waters spring forth. For eg- Gomukha tirtha in Mount Girnar (gujrat) where water flows and fills a tank called Gomukhi Ganga. In Mt Abu there is Gomukh Kund, the origin of Saraswathi.

Over the years, flu vaccine development taught us that targeting conserved domains may be a better solution than targeting the highly variable/strain-specific regions. But why is this relevant in the fight against COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2 is the 3rd strain of coronavirus from a zoonotic origin to develop a sustained human-to-human transmission. A lot of significant differences are found in the major surface protein between this strain and others.

Sarabeshwara is one of the forms that Lord Shiva took to control the anger of Lord Narasimha after the latter had killed Hiranyakashapu. Narasimha who came to kill the demon was so wrath filled that his anger was disturbing the others. Lord Lakshmi, the consort of viShNu herself was afraid to approach Narasimha. The devas pleaded to Lord shiva to control the anger of narasimha and make him calm. Hearing their please Lord shiva took the form of sharaba, a form that combines lion, human and also a bird.

Today is the gurupujai of one of the 63 nayanars in Shavaism- ninRachIr nedumARa nAyanAr. He ruled major parts of todays South India from 640-670 CE. This thread attempts to recount some of his glorious history on an auspicious occasion of Ninracheer Nedumara Nayanar Gurupujai. It is conceivable that due to numbness, absence of chance and different factors one happens to fail in life. In any case, the return of those individuals to the glory by some factor is something sublime.

Today is the Arulmigu Arunachaleswarar Temple girivalam (circumambulation). To those who dont know Arunachaleshwarar temple is unique as in a large portion of the sacred spots the Deity is found on the hill. Be that as it may, here the Holy hill itself is the Deity -Annamalaiyar "Arunam" signifies sun and means the red shade of fire. "Asalam" signifies "Giri" or "malai" (mountain). In this way "Arunachalam" signifies the Holy hill with red color.
