In the fog of war Bandera escaped a Polish prison and when nazis attacked USSR, OUN lead by Bandera proclaimed an independent Ukraine. Bandera was arrested, sent to a nazi camp. Nazis wanted Bandera to join Vlasov but he rejected(1945).

I find Ukrainian folk singing absolutely magical.
