Following along the NTSB hearing on the fire on the Conception that killed 33 people and one crew member off the coast of Santa Cruz Island last year. @KFIAM640 The boat sunk and inverted, making it difficult to reconstruct the wreckage. The physical evidence did not lead to a conclusive cause of the fire, which meant the investigation had to rely on eyewitness accounts and a similar vessel, the Vision. @KFIAM640

LA County leaders have started the 5:30 briefing, during which we are expected to hear about more restrictions in response to the coronavirus. Board of Supervisors Chair Kathryn Barger says the "Safer at Home" order covers the entire county and increases social distancing.

This is the proper way of looking at coronavirus economic impact in the US. For example, I have a lot of friends in the travel & tourism sector...they are getting hammered by cancellations during what is the traditional busy season or ramping up to the busy season. For example, in DC, they are on the brink of peak season: Cherry Blossoms and school trips. I’ve heard through a couple friends that schools are dropping trips at a troubling rate. What does that mean???...

Listening to the 911 call made by the 17-year-old Turpin girl. She sounds somewhere b/n 10-11. She misspelled her last name, she doesn’t know her address offhand. Then she lists a bunch of numbers without the street name. She tells the 911 operator that she’s never been out after the operator asks if she’s near home. For the address she gives the zip code.
