The bombshell news of the day is Canada's PM, Justin Trudeau, mincing no words in an address to the Canadian Parliament saying that he had "credible allegations" that the Indian government killed a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has rubbished the allegations and said Trudeau was trying to shift the focus from Khalistani activities in Canada against India.
Indian TV channels are going into overdrive, spending lots of time on Khalistani activities in Canada.

News Article from 2030:
"The Tragedy of the African Cheetah"
"Yesterday, cheetahs became extinct as the last African cheetah that was imported to India to satisfy Indian PM Modi's ego has died."
"The export of cheetahs from Africa to India started in 2022. Despite the cheetahs unable to survive in their new habitat, the Indian government kept importing more and more of them to India, determined to prove a point, ...
If through arrogance, he teaches brāhmaṇas their duty, the king shall pour heated oil into his mouth and ears.—(272)
There's also the famous story of the Shudra Shambhuka in the Ramayana.
@NiMingda_GG @Kanthan2030 @RahulGandhi The Ramayana is one of the most revered religious stories in Hinduism, and is based on legends about the hero Ram, who is supposed to be an incarnation of the God Vishnu.
Even today, the "Hindu Nationalist" government of the BJP claims that its goal is "Ram Rajya."

You want to understand how media propaganda in the West works?
Look at how they cover manufacturing.
First look at the manufacturing in China, which is measured by the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI). This chart shows manufacturing PMI since the start of this year.
As you can see, manufacturing has been expanding for 5 months out of 8.
In July, there was a small dip below 50, but it bounced back in August.
Now look at the same statistics for the USA.
Only in one month since the beginning of this year has the PMI gone above 50.

Most of the upper caste #Hindus in the US will be sad today.
The state of #California passed a law banning #discrimination on the basis of #caste, #SB403. This was prompted by several cases of caste-based discrimination in #SiliconValley.
#California is now a better and safer place for #Dalits to live in than #India. In India, Dalits are regularly beaten or killed because of their #caste, often for having the temerity to ride a horse or wear dark glasses or dress well. #SB403

So much hype about #Chandrayaan_3.
#NationalPride is the stupidest thing out there.
And that's true whether the pride is about Chandrayaan, #Praggnanandhaa, #ViswanathanAnand, #ARRahman winning #GRAMMYs, or #India winning the #WorldCup.
If #Chandrayaan_3 succeeds (and I hope it does, for the advancement of science), it will be an achievement for #ISRO.
And only for ISRO.
What did you contribute to Chandrayaan that you are feeling so full of yourself?

#PravinSawhney suggests that #India has meekly accepted the #Chinese demands at the border.
I think that, if true, this is a good thing.
If India is to prosper, it needs peace with #China.
We need a permanent settlement of the border with #China, if necessary on China's terms. We really do not have a choice, as #Modi seems to have realized.
Sawhney says Modi doesn't have the stomach for war with China.

I have a feeling #Modi's luck is about to run out.
He's been trying to run with the hares and hunt with the hounds for a while now. Or, to put it another way, have his cake and eat it too.
He doesn't want to get in bed with #BRICS because of the antipathy towards #China.
He went to the #US and signed some agreements that give the US naval bases in India.
Now he wants to put trade restrictions on US computer products to help #Ambani sell his #Jiobook.
If you are going to burn your bridges with #Russia and #China, you can't piss off the US.

When the #Modi government proceeded to build wide highways in #Uttarakhand for the #ChardhamYatra, #environmental groups protested, saying that the #ecosystem was fragile and could not handle the construction.
The case went to the #SupremeCourtofIndia.
The petitioners' case was science-based, and the government's case was populism-based. The government wanted to make Hindus happy by providing a highway for quick transport for #yatris.
But the government argued in court that the highways were needed for #NationalSecurity.

#India is a truly advanced country. While the so-called "superpower," #America, spends about $1.5 million per lane-km for a new highway, India spends about $3.8 million per lane-km for the same. (or $5.2 million, for same lane size)
Don't compare us with pathetic, poor countries
And we can afford to do that, year after year, after each monsoon, whereas poor America can only do it once in 30 years. Losers!

#ViksitBharat by 2047
#Modiji has said that by 2047, #India will be Viksit #Bharat, that is, Developed India.
This is very smart. If #Modiji is still alive in 2047, he will be 97 and most probably senile and in a nursing home, so he can't be questioned if his prediction is proven wrong - if at all anyone remembers it then.

If we do this, it will sink whatever is left of #India's #economy in 2036, if indeed India is still around as a country by then.
Very few countries have made a financial success of the #Olympics. Most have been disastrous failures.
The 2004 #AthensOlympics was a major factor in pushing #Greece into bankruptcy.
This is what you get when you have illiterates running the country. They are only interested in glitzy status symbols, not substance.

@ShashiTharoor The Industrial Revolution in Britain was not only because of money siphoned off India. At its root were the discoveries in mechanics, heat, and chemistry made much earlier. India, due to its close-mindedness, didn't learn anything about these. It's not enough to import a factory.
@ShashiTharoor You have to understand how the factory works. For that, you have to understand physics and chemistry. All the major discoveries in physics and chemistry were made in Europe, people in India knew nothing about them. That was the root of the problem. They weren't interested.

The #HomeMinisterOfIndia, #AmitShah, wears his hat of a #Hindu, not that of a #HomeMinister, when dealing with the #ManipurViolence.
The ruling #BJP government in #Manipur is led by the Hindu #Meitei tribal group, who are fighting the #Kuki #Christian tribals.
The #HomeMinisterOfIndia is on the side of the #Meitei #Hindus.
Whenever there is a conflict between Hindus and #Muslims - #Jahangirpuri, #Nuh, #Bhagalpur, #Ranchi, #Aurangabad, etc. - the #HM takes off his minister hat and acts like a partisan #Hindu.

The #CasteSystem cannot be expunged from #Hinduism. Caste is not a feature of Hinduism; it is the very root of Hindu philosophy and the reason for living. And so, caste discrimination will always exist.
India will not.
Read this nine part series.
I will give here the synopsis of this detailed exegesis on #Hinduism and the #BhagavadGita in particular in this thread 🧵to understand#Hindu society today.
1. Every #religion needs a code of #ethics - how people should behave - in order to maintain a social order.

The #UK is in economic #freefall. Big businesses are shutting down, there is a strike every week, people cannot afford food/heating, cannot afford to pay their mortgages, the #NHS is in crisis. The #UKEconomy is in the #ICU.
But you wouldn't know if you didn't live there.
That's because the PM, #RishiSunak, only talks about giving more money and weapons to #Ukraine.
And because UK publications such as the #BBC, #Economist, #Guardian, #FT are more interested in telling us that the #ChineseEconomy is collapsing than focus on the UK disaster.

This is a powerful article that details how the #BJP has cynically used #KashmiriPandits for their own ends, how they have made the situation in #Kashmir far worse than it ever has been, how abrogation of #Article370 has actually worsened the security situation in Kashmir.
Rayan Naqash's detailed expose of the plight of #KashmiriPandits lays bare the hypocrisy of the #BJP, #Modi, and #AmitShah.
#KPs are now more #hopeless than they ever were.
Salient points of this excellent piece of journalism:
It is August 2023, and the latest figures on #European #manufacturing have come out. They are confirming my prediction of last November that #Europe is going to #collapse #economically because of the #Sanctions against #Russia.
The key index is the #PMI.
If the Purchasing Managers Index,or #PMI, is above 50, it means that orders in the last month were more than the previous month. If it is less than 50, it means orders are decreasing and #manufacturing is shrinking.
Here is #Germany's latest PMI, along with past values.

@ShoaibDaniyal explains what happened in Nuh.
This has now become the standard modus operandi of the Hindu Right:
1. Announce a #Hindutva rally in a #Muslim majority area well in advance. 2. Make plenty of provocative statements before the rally.
scroll.in/article/105382…3. Have people dressed in #saffron, brandishing swords and guns, march in the rally. 4. Have the rally stop in front of #mosques and #madrasas playing #Hindu religious songs loudly and shouting insults at #Muslims, even challenging their manhood.

#Democratic supporters don't know it yet, but they (and all #Americans) are staring at an apocalypse.
Thanks to #DonaldTrump, who appointed three #conservative judges on the #SupremeCourt, #Democrats lost control of the Court.
That has already had disastrous consequences.
Such as losing #AbortionRights and #AffirmativeAction.
America is hopelessly divided. #Black vs #White, Rich vs Poor.
There's an average of two #MassShootings a day. White policemen are mercilessly killing poor Blacks.
Politicians are trying to blame everything on #China.

The #Modi government is being very clever in helping Mukesh #Ambani sell his new Jiobook laptop by imposing import restrictions on foreign #laptops.
The Modi government knows the move is in violation of #WTO rules. But it will take several years for WTO to rule on it.
In 2014, the #ModiSarkar government passed restrictions on import of mobile phones by levying a 20% tariff on mobile phone components.
This was challenged legally by #Japan only in 2018 and the #EU in 2019.
