Partly that’s because the attention switched to the Middle East, much to Russia’s pleasure. And partly that’s because the front line in Ukraine became more dangerous to report from as Russia’s drone technology gets more deadly.

Despair is building up in the air everywhere. The news is getting exhausting to follow. At the same time, disinformation is thriving.

⚡️Kamala Harris formally accepts Democratic nomination for president, says she will 'stand strong with Ukraine.'

VP Kamala Harris formally accepted the Democratic nomination for president on Aug. 22 at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago. During her acceptance speech, Harris proclaimed her support for Ukraine, saying she would "stand strong with Ukraine and our NATO allies."

⚡️ UK defense secretary: Lethal aid flown from China to Russia, world needs to 'wake up.'

kyivindependent.com/uk-china-suppl… The U.S. and U.K. have evidence Beijing and Moscow are collaborating on combat equipment for use in Ukraine, as lethal aid is flown from China to Russia, British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps said on May 22.

⚡️Stoltenberg: Choosing between helping Kyiv and keeping air defenses, allies ‘must choose Ukraine.’

kyivindependent.com/date-set-for-u… NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said when NATO members are faced with the choice between keeping hold of their air defense systems or sending them to Kyiv, they “must choose Ukraine.”

⚡️Update: Johnson’s Ukraine aid bill allocates over $60 billion for Ukraine.

The House of Representatives published the content of the aid bill for Ukraine, which allocates over $60 billion in assistance and mandates the delivery of long-range ATACMS missiles after the day of enactment.

⚡️ Trump's advisor denies alleged plans to push Ukraine to cede territory.

kyivindependent.com/trumps-advisor… An advisor to Donald Trump, the U.S. Republican Party's presumptive nominee for the 2024 presidential run, refuted claims in the media that the ex-president would push Ukraine to give up some of its territory if reelected, The New York Post reported on April 7.

⚡️ NBC: Biden administration considering supplying Ukraine with long-range ATACMS missiles.

kyivindependent.com/nbc-biden-admi… The White House is prepared to send Ukraine long-range Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) if Congress approves a new funding package, NBC News reported on Feb. 19, citing unnamed U.S. officials.

This video shared on Telegram by the 92nd Assault Brigade, a unit of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, depicts a Ukrainian drone operator venturing perilously close to Russian positions, enduring constant shelling. The caption reads, “Sometimes I hear that UAV operators work from safe places.

⚡️IAEA: No mines observed near Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant’s cooling pond.

The IAEA said it is aware of the recent reports of mines having been placed near the cooling pond of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, but no such mines were observed during Rafael Grossi’s visit. The IAEA said it is aware of the previous placement of mines outside the plant perimeter and at particular places inside.

⚡️Bulgaria's new defense minister vows to support Ukraine with military aid.

Todor Tagarev, Bulgaria's newly-appointed defense minister, said that his country must do what is necessary to provide Ukraine with military assistance, the Bulgarian News Agency reported. While outlining the main objectives of his future work as the minister of defense, Tagarev said that Bulgaria and its army must contribute to ensuring security and stability in the Black Sea region and South-Eastern Europe.

⚡️Estonian PM: NATO threatens Russia's imperialism, not its security.

Speaking to the media from a security conference in Singapore, Kaja Kallas said that Russia's narrative that NATO plays a role in its invasion of Ukraine sees a great deal of play in Asia and must be refuted. "Here they talk about the expansion of NATO as a process that is somehow not connected with the will of the countries, but I refute this," Kallas told the Estonian publication ERR on June 4.

⚡️CNN: Iran likely ships drones to Russia through Caspian Sea.

Tehran is likely using the Caspian Sea shipping route to supply Moscow with weapon supplies, including the Shahed kamikaze drones, CNN wrote on May 26. The experts observed a number of Russian and Iranian vessels, capable of transporting weapons, regularly switching off their tracking when sailing through the inland sea. This may indicate they wish to hide part of their journey.
