Perhaps it’s the fear of alienating any of the audience, despite the stakes. Perhaps it’s fear of the violent threats that journalists and their families receive after covering extremism. Maybe it’s disinterest, apathy, or the idea that such weighty topics should be left others.

The party is so cash-poor it does not have any paid employees.

NEW: Authorities say a body has been found near the vehicle of the East High School shooting suspect, Austin Lyle, in Park County. They have not confirmed whether the body is Lyle's.
