Despite a ceasefire & agreement to dissolve the Republic of Artsakh after the Azerbaijani invasion in September, Azerbaijan are continuing to build up their fleet of An-2 aircraft at Yevlakh airbase. (Google earth sat image). 1/? Image In imagery taken yesterday there are 31 fully constructed An-2s with a further 12 in construction making 43 total. In early July of this year there were just 27 An-2s visible. Prior to the start of the 2020 war there were more than 60 visible with at least 11 later shot down.

The situation between Azerbaijan and Armenia is getting more and more tense with each passing day. I'm noticing a couple of concerning patterns that might suggest that Azerbaijan are planning a renewed offensive against Armenia. Hopefully I'm wrong of course. I noticed an interesting series of flights made by an IL-76 belonging to Silk Way Airlines, an Azerbaijani owned carrier that has been accused of delivering weapons to conflict zones.

As a result of the destruction of an ammunition depot in Azovske, Crimea this morning. Railway services from Russia will stop at Feodosia on the south coast and passengers will travel by bus if they require an onward journey. Damage to the line is reportedly significant. If the track has been significantly damaged or even destroyed, this is going to cause huge issues for Russian logistics in Kherson. Not only are the only bridges leading to the city heavily damaged, the one rail line they can use to resupply from Russia is out of commission.

The airbase at Taganrog was busy yesterday morning. An Il-76 is visible taking off (blue/green/red to left of runway) as well as several more taxiing towards the runway. These flights did not appear on flight tracking sites. The Russian military camp at Klintsy (50km from the border in Bryansk) has completely emptied in the last 7 days. Considering we have not seen any trains heading east I believe these have gone south, towards the Ukrainian border.
