Today we're celebrating 10 years of the London Datastore 🎂🎂🎂 one of the world's leading city data platforms (thread). In 2010 Datastore was one of the first of its kind developed by a major city anywhere in the world... (2)...making freely available huge amounts of data about the capital & used to tackle some of London’s most important challenges. It currently has around 60,000 users each month & is home to more than 6,000 datasets – up from around 500 when it was first launched.

How we are developing @MayorofLondon Civic Innovation Challenge 2.0 - what we learned from our first year of open call innovation (THREAD) medium.com/@SmartLondon/t… We received over 120 applications, interviewed 35 companies and 14 were selected to take part in the programme with £15k grants. Over a period of 6 weeks these companies worked with their challenge partner (TfL, NHS or a council) &developed a pilot proposal.
