So, this is shady a.f., wage theft is no joke and yeah that's *def* wage theft! How? Cause even if tips are assumed/reported, her check shouldn't be that low. So! To explain: Here is how it works at my casino. This is dictated to us by the IRS btw. 1/10 In order to calculate tips acquired per hour, we do a tip sampling. This means for about 2 weeks in every area, across every shift, we record the amount of tips each server makes. We make sure to do it on both slow and fast days, for AM/PM and Swing. 2/10

LISTEN UP CHUCKLEFUCKS. If you live in an area with a mask mandate & you are going out to eat or to bars & you decide to be a bitter fuck and make your servers life hell b/c they tell you to wear your mask? On behalf of them: FUCK OFF ENTIRELY. Gods above. NO ONE LIKES WEARING THE MASKS. Fuck. We get it! It's hard to breath, its especially uncomfortable in summer Temps but guess what? WE HAVE TO WEAR IT FOR WAY LONGER THAN YOU! My days are typically 12 hrs and I can only take my mask off when eating, drinking or outside.
