1/10 In July 200 people from the TV & Film industry signed a letter to the BBC Board calling for an urgent investigation into systemic antisemitism & bias at the corporation.
The letter said "208 BBC staff & contributors from TV & Film", were in "anguish & disbelief" that complaints about coverage & social media posts during the Israel-Gaza war had not been dealt with.
2/10. The letter referred to a 40 plus page dossier, sent directly to BBC Chairman Samir Shah, which laid out multiple breaches of the broadcaster's social media guidelines, institutional bias & the continued employment of journalists who had expressed clear support for Hamas & the massacre they perpetrated on Oct 7th.

1/10. Evidence of #TwoTierJustice
Thread…. Spot the difference.
In July 2021 Mohammed Hanif & Jawaad Hussain drove 200 miles from Bradford to a Jewish area in North London & yelled; "F**k the Jews. F**k their mothers, f**k their daughters, show your support for Palestine. Rape their daughters, we have to send a message. Please do it for the poor children in Gaza."
2/10. It took 18 months for the Crown Prosecution Service to determine that screaming anti-Semitic abuse at passers-by in a 'Convoy for Palestine' in broad daylight, purposefully to cause untold fear in a Jewish neighbourhood, wasn't deemed to be "using threatening, abusive or insulting words, with intent, likely to stir up racial hatred".
No charges were brought.

1/4. Some interesting facts you need to know about work, benefits, Brexit and employment etc…
The AVERAGE (not minimum) wage in London is about £30k or £23k after tax.
A single parent with a child can claim £23k on universal credit.
Why work?
2/4. There were less than 3 million people on universal credit before Covid. The number is now not far off 6 million.
Yet businesses are desperate for employees.
Anyone know why?
