So like @seamuscoffey I've been collecting the rip.ie statistics. They are far more useful than the HSE coronavirus numbers because they give us an idea of what excess mortality looks like. Here's what the data looks like. Now if we take the AVERAGE of 2017-2020 deaths per day, and if we subtract this from the deaths per day in 2021, we get 2710 excess deaths.
