I have been thinking about how the first few weeks of the New Year we could spend time sending New Year's cards and Thank You notes to our family p, friends, neighbors, employees, bosses, and community members to thank them for what they do and for being in our lives. 1/ This period of reflection and thank yous in the first two weeks of the New Year could be called Thanksgiving. The holiday that happens at the end of November could be "See Your Family and Eat Lots of Food Day". Or "Fight With Your Family Day". 2/

@Elfhood_ @ThePlaceWeSeek I don't know that I can ever be "free" in the sense that you describe. I'm not talking about material wealth but the connections of love that tie me to my friends, family, and community. Janis Joplin did say that "Freedom is just another word for nothing less to lose". @Elfhood_ @ThePlaceWeSeek Also, sometimes we may travel away from our home community, and cut off connections with toxic family and friends, but we still have to deal with the memories and patterns that are part of us. Meditation and therapy can help us understand what remnants of the past hurt us.

Around 7:00 am this morning, I also took my vitamin supplements: a woman's multivitamin, vitamin D, and Black Cohosh. Black Cohosh is in the plant family of species on this planet (a naturally growing herb that has been used for quite some time). It helps your body produce produce estrogen but doesn't take effect as quickly as synthetic estrogen. (About 2 to 3 week buildup in body).
