Why Uber is not a marketplace.
1. A marketplace (MP) is a venue which brings together willing buyers and sellers, generally taking a flat rate or small percentage from one or the other. The buyers and sellers choose each other.

What happens when a rider requests a ride? They are told a price BEFORE meeting their "seller." If they select a ride they are assigned a driver.
What happens when a driver logs on? He waits until he's assigned a rider, and told how much he'll make after the ride is over.

First, there is a huge problem out there, unknown to most people: there is an underclass of people abused by employers. No minimum wage, no workers compensation, no social security. The problem is typified by Uber/Lyft
