We are aware that these statistics released in the context of a documentary have – in places - been misunderstood.

We would like to add some clarity. Please read this thread in full.

These figures were shared alongside a documentary following our Service, where crews were shown responding to a person who had taken their own life. A paramedic reflected on their personal experience of a perception of responding to more suicides over the past 20 years.
