2 yrs ago: Jan 6, 5:04pm, I took this photo of law enforcement using flash bang grenades & tear gas on a violent mob trying to break into the U.S. Capitol. It was hr 4 in my gas mask, helmet & bulletproof vest photographing hand-to-hand combat between police & U.S. citizens. 1/9 I arrived at the east side of the U.S. Capitol a little after 11am, where a crowd was already gathering. They were fired up, yelling at lawmakers/anyone they could see entering the building. Ppl were especially hostile towards press, yelling and flipping us off. 2/9

Six months ago, I took this photograph at 5:04pm. Image I was standing on the center inauguration scaffolding after having scaled it to get a better view of the center door. I had heard people chanting “heave-ho!” &thought they were breaking into the hallway. I had no idea the building had been breached because we had no cell service.

Remember the State of the Union speech that happened earlier this week?

I have a couple things to share about it. (Is this where I say THREAD?) If you know me, you know that I hate talking about or drawing attention to myself.

But I felt the need to share this publicly because of how much it surprised me.
