The original Bitcoin logo, designed by Satoshi, appears in an early Bitcoin software tool. It depicts the characters "BC" engraved on a gold coin. Skeuomorphism (where an object in software mimics its real-world counterpart) was quite popular at the time.

Thread 🧵 2/ There is lots of healthy debate about what counts as a “PFP” or an "Avatar". Given NFTs are such a new phenomenon classifications are still subjective, that said, based on how I've heard the broader market refer to certain NFTs here is how I think about these terms.

1/ Tbh I’m not really interested in @DooggiesNFT for the historical aspect. I have been pretty consistent about that from the start.
