1/5 This is just flat-out wrong. “Unified Syria” here does NOT mean the modern state of, it’s a butchered translation of Bilad al-Sham, the "broader Levant." I don't expect @nick_matau to know because he's not indigenous to the Middle East.

If you were from Mount Lebanon, you were called Lebanese.
If you were from Damascus, you were Shaami.
If you were from Palestine or Jerusalem, you were Falastini (Palestinian).
