I'm at Heritage Park, a petition signing location in Stony Plain for Alberta Independence. Folks are lined up waiting to sign, with speakers set to begin at 7:00 pm. Will live tweet below 🧵

#abpoli #AlbertaIndependence Image There's a long line for the petition, and people are continuing to join it. Dr. Dennis Modry, former CEO of the Alberta Prosperity Project (which has been holding separation town halls across the province this past year) is in attendance.

I'm at the Alberta Next Panel in Edmonton, which I'll live tweet below (brought a portable this time). Meeting is set to start at 6. A few protestors are outside the venue.

#abpoli #ableg #albertanext Image My ticket was apparently cancelled because I already attended the event in Sherwood Park, however I did not see this requirement when registering or when I got an email about the event this morning. Did not receive a cancellation notice either. Should be able to get into overflow.

I'm at the Alberta Prosperity Project's town hall on separation and Alberta sovereignty, taking place in Edmonton. People are consistently coming in, with the meeting starting at 7. Will live tweet below ⬇️

#abpoli #ableg Image The speakers tonight are Dr. Dennis Modry, a founding member and chair of APP, and Mitch Sylvestre, CEO of APP and chair of the Alberta First Pension Plan Initiative. Both took part in filing a constitutional independence referendum petition question with Elections Alberta.

I'm at the Alberta Next panel for Sherwood Park/Edmonton. Phone battery is low, but will be live tweeting what I can in this thread ⬇️

#abpoli #albertanext Image The event's emcee is Bruce McAllister, the premier's office staffer. He reminds everyone the panel is here to listen, but "the last decade has been a tough one for Alberta when it comes to dealing with Ottawa ... we're going to address all of that tonight."
