Regardless of what political party you support - when an elected member of our fed gov can be unlawfully sexually harassed & bullied out of parliament, while 25 mil of us watch on - the reality is our gov is no operating democratically

(Thread) If a woman can have sex weaponised against her, used to bully, humiliate and attack her credibility and character, while the ppl who run our country watch on & take no action - it means sexual harassment is now an acceptable practice in Aust, with zero consequences

I am speechless reading at this article. In mining, I have been in charge of managing contracts with companies for fly in fly out camps, & I can tell you right now - the cost is no where remotely near $1.4B ..

Oodgeroo Noonuccal aka Kath Walker (1920-1993) was an Aboriginal rights activist, poet, veteran, artist & educator.
She was best known for her poetry, & was the first Aboriginal Aust to publish a book of verse.
(Thread) Oodgeroo Noonuccal was born in Minjerribah (Nth Stradbroke Island ) Qld in 1920. Her father, Edward, was a Quandamooka man from the Noonuccal Clan from the area around Moreton Bay & Stradbroke Island & her mother, Lucy, was of the Peewee clan from inland Australia.
