People don't seem to talk about how pre-2019, our system, while not perfect, was humming along fairly well and many of our rural areas had great healthcare.
Most of the breakdown of our system came at the hands of Kenney and Shandro.
I have a few fixes to suggest:
1. Return all the billing codes that were cut in Feb 2020. 2. Fund at least 2000 beds for long-term care/alternative level of care and get folks who don't need acute care out of hospitals - this will make emergency departments run much more smoothly and quickly.
