Drawing on lists of key marginals and extensive research into tactical voting, these are the candidates in key seats who will be *splitting the Remain vote*, thus enabling the Tories and enabling Brexit. #CountryBeforeParty
The deadline for receipt of candidates’ nominations and for their withdrawals is 4 p.m. tomorrow 14 November. Let’s hope for nothing but nice surprises from now on.
1/7 Having read reports from @the3million and in the press about the risk of non-UK EU citizens being disenfranchised in the upcoming European elections, I contacted every council in the country for confirmation that they had sent out forms UC1/EC6 to all registered EU24 voters.
2/7 The issue had also been raised by a number of MPs in Parliament @hilarybennmp@BenMLake@JoPlattMP@CatherineWest1@sarahwollaston

@the3million@Anna_Soubry@sarahwollaston 1/7 This morning, I e-mailed every council in the country in a personal capacity asking them if they had notified non-UK EU citizens of the need to fill in form U1/E6 to vote in the European elections.
2/7 The councils can only contact those who hav already registered to vote. So far, 53% have responded positively.
Some said they were legally obliged to do so, others called it a ‘recommendation’, one so far is doing nothing but has the form on their website.

REMAINER: They’re in the cake.
LEAVER: Yes, get them out of the cake, please.

REMAINER: But we voted in 1975 to put them into a cake.
LEAVER: Yes, but that cake has got icing on it. Nobody said there was going to be icing on it.
REMAINER: Icing is good.
