Summary:

Content rating: Not for children or sensitive people; shocking
Literary value: Culturally relevant and well-written
Ethics: Depraved
Themes: Revenge, greed, lust for power and sex, war between sexes, apocalypse “The Power” by Naomi Alderman reminds me of the decision I made not to read Stephen King anymore. It was 2009. I was pregnant with my third child. Some of the content and the author’s note at the end of a book disturbed and angered me.
